Parallel implementation of multi-population differential evolution

A coarse-grained parallelization of an adaptive different ial evolution algorithm is described. The parallelization is based on the mu lti-population model, a random connection topology being used. The results obtaine d by the implementation of the proposed algorithm on a PC cluster show not only a speed up in execution time, but also a higher probability of convergence.
