An improved positional technique for radiologic demonstration of infantile tracheoesophageal fistulae: a technical note.

For radiologic demonstration of infantile tracheoesophageal fistulae, a nasogastric tube is positioned in the distal esophagus before start of the injection. The thoracic and lower cervical esophagus are opacified by continuing the injection while the tube is withdrawn, with the infant in the Trendelenburg position.
