Hyperbolic Paraboloid Shells are commonly analyzed and designed
according to membrane theory, which for shallow shells, uniform
loads, and appropriate support conditions, predicts a state of
uniform shear in shell, and a state of linearly varying axial
recognized that actural loading and construction details of such
shells as built ar far from ideal, and therefore incompatible
with the membrane state of stress, thus considering to bending
and twisting of shells and edge members.
In this paper, basic equations are deduced by application of
Vlasov theory and applied to simple supported saddle-shaped H.P
shell under uniformly distributed loads.
