Experimental verification of modal dispersion free characteristics in a two-mode optical fiber

Group delay time difference between LP 01 and LP 11 modes has been measured in a step-index type optical fiber over a two-mode region. The measured results have revealed that there exists a wavelength at which the group delay times of the two modes are coincident.
