Numerical modelling of rock stresses within a basaltic nuclear waste repository. Phase II. Parametric design studies

A parametric study of the influence of material property, geometric, and waste form parameters on temperatures and stresses was performed. The results of parametric analysis (in this report) are preliminary, utilizing the best available assumptions and data; however, they are not intended to accurately reflect actual conditions that may be encountered in the environment surrounding a repository. The base case studied is for a conventional repository with a 5-year retrievability period.
