Prediction of wheat gains with imagery from four-rotor UAV

Remote sensing is a common and useful method to acquire information for objects. Both satellite remote sensing and airborne remote sensing are widely used in different domains including agriculture and the small UAV remote sensing is a powerful supplement of the other two remote sensing methods. With such advantages like real-time, flexible, cost-effective etc, it has enormous potential prospect in many aspects. In this paper, we use the small four-rotor UAV remote sensing system to monitor the condition of the wheat in our experiment field. Using the images and flying data from the UAV system, we deduced the orthorectification of our experiment area and given the prediction gains. In the end, some improvement directions were proposed in the future work. If proven to be reliable, we firmly believe that this simple method may have a good application prospect in agricultural industrial.
