Fluent Analysis and Structure Optimization for Engine Intake System

The research bases on a certain type of gasoline engine intake system as the object.It uses both transient compressible viscosity fluid differential equation and k -eequation to build the turbulence model.And by using FLUENT on the single cylinder engine intake process in speed and pressure for analysis,we can get the distribution of pressure and velocity field in the whole process of gas inlet.Due to the speed of the inlet is slower,the formation of eddy current is less and strength is also weak.The pressure of inlet losses bigger also is uneven distribution.Then it can reduces the charging efficiency and combustion rate.After all,it affects engine performance,fuel consumption and emissions sex of the engine. So we need to optimize the structure of engine.
