Design and Implementation of Learning Guidance

This paper describes a novel methodology to generate personalized learning guidance content for e-learners according to course ontology and their profiles. Through ontology-graph transformation, weight updating algorithm, content customization and ontology update, the methodology implements an automatic-adapted relationship with gradually enhanced learning control. After a period of learning, the ontology can be updated to achieve a more accurate personalization. The proposed methodology is applied to the implementation of a web based learning system based upon the course ‘Data Structure’. Experimental results show that the model can not only help the e-learners finish their course, but also can achieve the purpose of increasing learning efficiency and quality through the way of controlling their access to learning resources and giving them effective guidance.
