Finite Element Analysis on Contact Stress of Transmission Gear

Solid model of gears were modeled in the environment of SolidWorks software and gearing model was obtained through standard assembly of gear pairs.The finite element model of gear was meshed with nodal points by COSMOS/Works module and the distributing graph of contact stress was obtained after loading and contact stress of gear is analyzed.Hertz theory verifies the validity of the finite element analysis of gear contact stress based on COSMOS/Works module.Thus the integration of CAD/CAE is obtained.
