An accurate steam heating network simulation model is necessary to build a optimal system for realtime default detection and for analysis and training. A steam heating network model is presented where the vapor is analyzed as a singlephase compressible stream with the whole heating system analyzed as a flow network composed of nodes and branches. The simulation method uses Euler's method for the transient terms and solves the equations using relaxation and a diagonal matrix algorithm. The algorithm convergence is very robust. The method will be used to simulate the steam heating network in Qingdao.
