A Web Map Service and Application Based on Map API

Data source and complex development is a problem of online geo service application based on WebGIS for enterprise and personal.Firstly,the requirements and characteristic of web map service application for the enterprise and personal is analyzed.The problem of web map application development together with its solution approach is presented.Secondly,the characteristics,functions and work principle of open map API are summarized.A web map ser-vice architecture based on map API is presented.Finally,a campus map guide service website system is developed with the proposed map service architecture of map API.The application results show that the map API can effectively solve the data source bottle neck of web map ser-vices and reduce the development cost.It has a promise application prospects.
