Time-Spectrum-Space Three Dimensions Radio Environment Map Construction and Utilization in TV White Space

AbstractIn order to reuse TV white space (TVWS) efficiently, a novel time-spectrum-space three dimensions radio environment map (REM) technology is proposed in this paper. Field measurements are carried out in BUPT campus for both outdoor and indoor scenarios. Measurement results are used to construct the REM by considering the altitude parameter which is omitted in existing research works. In order to utilize TVWS efficiently, the outdoor white space usage system is proposed to improve the accuracy of measurements. Furthermore, the optimal outdoor sensor deployment scheme using channel-location clustering algorithm is designed to construct the REM efficiently with the minimum sensor nodes. Simulation results verify the effectiveness of proposed schemes.
