An ontology for power system operation analysis

This paper, in accordance with the difficulties that the advanced applied software of the power system faces in interconnection and construction of large-scale software system, proposes an approach to establishing the ontology for the area of power system operation analysis, so as to solve the problem of software interconnection for the area of power system operation analysis. The ontology method can effectively solve the problems of knowledge sharing and reusing among software, and thus is taken as the foundation of establishing large-scale software, especially intelligent software. Based on the analysis of the area knowledge, the ontology provides explicit and normative explanations and definitions of the concepts of power system operation analysis, and realizes knowledge sharing and reusing by transmitting knowledge among software of the domain in an unambiguous way. Then formalization is conducted on the established ontology, and the structure of ontology-based Agent software of BDI type of the domain is discussed.
