Identifying the needs of children living with visual impairment: state of the art and French field-study

Dans cet article, nous rapportons les resultats d'une etude de terrain visant a identifier les besoins specifiques des enfants en situation de deficience visuelle dans un institut specialise. Les principaux resultats revelent (1) les usages actuels des technologies par les enfants deficients visuels ; (2) comment les dispositifs reflexifs et ludiques limitent les frustrations et favorisent l'engagement ; (3) l'importance de la collaboration dans les enseignements ; (4) les facons dont les encadrants modifient et adaptent les technologies pour faire face aux besoins. Ces resultats peuvent faciliter la prise de decision durant le processus de conception de techniques d'interaction pour jeunes deficients visuels et donc ameliorer la qualite et l'adoption de ces techniques pour cette population.
