Translator is the center of translation and is also the most positive element in translation.But the traditional translation theory usually neglects this point.As the development of translation and research,research of translator’s subject has been the focus of translation theory research.Famous translator George Steiner,his interpretational translation view is to emphasize the subjective position of translator.For example,from the view of Steiner’s interpretational and analyzing mode,the choosing of English version,translation goal,translation strategy,the interpretation of the original work and the recreation of art on language aspect,ChenYinan’s Chinese version of The Old Man and Sea is a good example of translator’s subjective position.
