Complex Evaluation Methods: An Operative Synthesis on Multicriteria Techniques

The process of evaluation, as a result of the increased complexity of decision-making processes, the climate of uncertainty and the rapid technological transformations, requires the use of appropriate techniques capable of treating in a consistent way the qualitative and multidimensional aspects implicated in a choice. From this point of view a useful tool for decision-making is offered by the numerous multicriteria analysis techniques developed in the last decades. This paper presents a support instrument for decision-making, capable also of providing information on the coherence of the techniques utilized with respect to the problem evaluated.
