Similarity And Affine Normalization Of Partially Occluded Planar Curves Using First And Second Derivatives

We apply the general framework for image normalization to the problem of the similarity and affine normalization of partially occluded planar curves. An algorithm is given using first derivatives to give a similarity normalization, and first and second derivatives to give an affine normalization, dependent on a finite interval around a chosen point P of the curve.
