The ribbon microphone — An educational aid: Use of a ribbon microphone to teach multi-discipline computer simulation skills

The ribbon microphone serves as an excellent aid to learn computer simulation and computational skills. Simulation of this seemingly simple device is all but trivial. The ribbon microphone is an all-in-one example for simulations in acoustics, mechanics and electromagnetics - and the interaction between these disciplines.
