From risk assessment to risk management

Risk assessment is becoming widely used in the nuclear power industry and has great potential in other industries as well. This paper describes a dynamic tool that is useful for continuous analysis and management of risk, for sensitivity analysis, and for uncertainty analysis. This dynamic tool is a computer code called RISKMAN that provides means for performing all phases of a PRA in an integrated manner. These phases include data analysis, construction of a plant model, and risk analysis.
