Dynamics of conditioned visual fight orientation in Drosophila

Using the flight simulator, the analysis of heat-conditioned visual flight orientation in Drosophila meianogaster was carried out. The main results are as follows: ( i ) the PIs (performance indices) in different experimental periods are substantially correlated; ( ii ) the characteristic function calculated from the flight yaw torque traces of individual flies could be used to evaluate the visual spatial orientation ability formed during the training; ( iii ) the ApEn (2, r, N) (approximate entropy) calculated from the flight yaw torque traces of the pretraining session is significantly correlated with the learning PIs of the 9th time period, so that ApEn (2, r, N) in the pretraining session could be used to predict roughly the learning indices after training.
