IntroductionThere is a continuing interest in elucidating the mechanismsof molecular desorption from surfaces bombarded by energetic(keV) ion beams. The experiments are finding wide applicationin areas as diverse as imaging of biological samples, processingof electronic materials, and characterization of polymers.
