The Importance of Vocabulary Strategies in English Majors

This study consists of two periods of writing tests,and analyses the vocabulary using of 50 English majors in their second year of study at Yunnan Normal University.The findings show that,in the timing condition of L2 timed writing,English majors use excessive lower vocabularies.Therefore,the researcher puts forward certain vocabulary strategies for developing English majors' vocabulary abilities and improving writing quality.
