Target and background measurements of highly dynamic targets

Simulation and modeling has become more popular as computing hardware and techniques become increasingly available to support them. These models must be tested against the real world if the results are to be useful. Real-world limitations on instrument performance constrain field test design. The US Army Research Laboratory, Electronic Warfare signature measurements group at White Sands Missile Range, NM has a suite of instrumentation and two tracking systems that can be used for such targets.
