We read with interest the article by Singh et al , in which they investigated whether the use of urate-lowering therapies (ULTs) in the elderly is associated with a higher risk of developing dementia.1 This study, which had a mean 683 days of follow-up, found that ULT use was not associated with increased risk of dementia.1 In this study, there are some issues to comment.
