Design of an Optimal Flight Control System for Tiltrotor Conversion

A ailtrotor can fly as a helicopter and a fixed-wing aircraft,the maneuver system combinates thrust vector and aerodynamic control mode while conversing from one flight mode to another.According to this complicated characteristic,the flight control system has been designed by using the linear quadratic regulator(LQR) theory and the model of a tlitrotor is also given in this paper.Finally it is proved by simulation that the performance of the flight control system can meet the requirement and the scheme of the control system is feasible.
