The African Council of Optometry recently announced that its Ambassadorial Award would go to Professor William Harris of the Rand Afrikaans University in South Africa ‘for his research and related international recognition.‘ This award will be officially presented to him at the South African Optometric Association Annual General Meeting scheduled to take place at Gallagher Estate, Midrand, November 2004.
