Iniciação a química no Museu da Vida, Fiocruz: avaliando atividades experimentais interativas da Bancada de Pasteur

In this work is presented the implementation of the Bancada de Pasteur at the Parque da Ciencia of Museu da Vida, Fiocruz. The work is divided in two parts: in the first part, a survey is done to study the presence of chemistry education inside museums and centers os science, presenting the situation in several places in Brazil and in the world. The importance of the experimentation in chemistry education is discussed, and its role in science museums is investigated. In the second part, the development of the Bancada de Pasteur is presented, a non-formal educational resource in chemistry. Interactive chemical experiments are held on it by groups mediated by a museum professional. The activities and its evaluation are described, including some preliminary data on its use in the regular visitation of the museum.
