Business Gaming: A Progress Report

This article presents a study assessing how extensively business games were being utilized in undergraduate and graduate courses at U.S. business schools. Information was sought about the extent to which business games were currently being used in each college’s curriculum, why games were not being used, when each college first started using business games, whether or not business gaming had been permanently integrated into the curriculum, whether or not the faculty had developed games used in the college, whether or not the college was currently engaged in any specific research directed toward scientific validation of potential educational values of the gaming technique, and names of noncomputerized and computerized games being used.
