Effects of Game-Based Teaching on Primary Students' Dance Learning: The Application of the Personal Active Choreographer

The article explored the effects of game-based teaching on primary student dance teaching and learning.Twosemestersofdanceteachingandlearningconductedbythesameteacherwereanalyzed. Inthefirstsemester,theteachertaughtdanceinatraditionalway.Inthesecondsemester,theteacher taughtdancewithaseriousgameintheteachingdesignandimplementation.Resultsindicatedthat theuseoftheseriousgameimprovedteacherandstudentsco-engagementintheteachingactivities. Itenhancedclassroominteractionsandstudentlearningsatisfaction,aswellastheteacher’sserious gameacceptance.Results supported that theseriousgamewashelpful toprimarystudentdance teachingandlearning.
