Exergy balance of glass-melting furnaces

On the basis of experimental data, the authors drew up the energetic and exergetic balances of a glass-melting furnace. The results of the calculations of the exergetic balances are given in tables. The use of the exergetic balance makes it possible to achieve in detail the optimization of furnace design and to determine the most suitable regimes of furnace operation, to evaluate the quality and industrial level of the equipment in relation to the energy characteristics, to develop the norms of unit consumption of energy, and to develop the optimum regimes for the operation of the equipment.
