The appearance of intrahepatic biliary duct dilatation on the liver scan.

Cameraimages of the liver in 35 jaundiced patients were evaluated for the diagnosis of biliary duct dilatation. It is believed that the use of suspended respiration and the collection of high counts (one million per view) with the Anger camera permits better delineation of the biliary system than is possible with rectilinear scanners. From their data, the authors established criteria for determination of biliary duct enlargement.
