Performance Evaluation Of Classifiers For Analysis Of Road Accidents

Road accidents happen quite often nowadays. Some accidents result in severe injuries whereas few are fatal. The consequences have a great impact on society. Many analytical procedures have been carried out to determine the causes of road accidents. The objective of this analysis is to employ data mining techniques for determining the factors that influence road accidents. The paper also focuses on evaluating the performance of various classification model in predicting the severity of accidents and it is tested upon different types of datasets. The results can be used to choose the suitable classifier to use with various kinds of datasets.
