EVALUATION OF FATIGUE DAMAGE ON FIXED JACKET PLATFORMS

This paper presents a procedure to evaluate accumulated fatigue damage on tubular joints of fixed jacket steel platforms based on numerical-experimental methodology. Experimental results were obtained through measurements of wave height, displacement and stress spectra. After adjusting the numerical finite element model, the fatigue damage were calculated for some selected joints. For the input for this calculation, the power spectral stress densities obtained from the dynamic behaviour of the platform were used. See also the previous abstract.
