HODGKIN'S DISEASE FIVE YEARS' EXPERIENCE OF A COMBINED HAEMIC–LYMPHATIC CLINIC*

The management of 122 patients with Hodgkin's disease seen at the Prince of Wales Haemic‐Lymphatic Clinic between 1968 and 1972 is described. All underwent the investigations now recognized as necessary to establish the stage of the disease, and 38 underwent staging laparotomy. Sixty‐eight patients were treated initially with radiation therapy and a relation between the early stages and longer survival was apparent. Thirty‐seven patients started quadruple therapy with a significant improvement in 26. The advantages of a multi‐disciplinary approach to the treatment of Hodgkin's disease are emphasized.
