Towards acredible WSNsdeployment: amonitoring framework basedonanadaptive communication protocol andenergy-harvestin g availability

Thepaperproposes anenvironmental monitoring framework basedon WSNs oriented towardsa credible de- ployment. Here, credible hastobe intended asan energy- awaresystem, robust withrespect toperturbations affecting the normaloperational life thatadapts itself tofaceachangeinthe network topology. Thedeveloped proposed systemencompasses thesensing activity, alocal transmission fromsensor nodestothe gateway, aremotedatatransmission fromgateways tothecontrol center andsubsequent datastorage ina DB andvisualisation. Thesystem hasbeentested onafirst prototypal WSN deployed tomonitor theAustralian coral reefbarrier. I.INTRODUCTION
