On the Homogeneous Model of Wind-Driven Ocean Circulation

In this paper, we derive rigorously a classical simplified model of ocean circulation, namely the so-called homogeneous model of wind-driven ocean circulation [J. Pedlosky, Geophysical Fluid Dynamics, Springer--Verlag, 1979] and two of its possible boundary-layer behaviors, namely Munk layers and Stommel layers.
