Energy Storage Application in Improving Distribution Network’s Solar Photovoltaic (PV) Adoption Capability

Abstract In this paper, the study is centered on the high penetration of distributed solar photovoltaic (PV) integrated into the distribution network and measures to improve its adoption capability, especially in the context of energy internet development. For this purpose, a model is proposed, where the effects of energy storage to improve the distribution network’s PV penetration level are evaluated. And a specific city distribution network in China as well as its load and PV outputs data of a typical year are chosen to certificate the effectiveness of the proposed model and method.
