Research on Hydration Heat Effect for the Massive Volume Concrete Box Girder Construction During Winter

Aiming at the earlier temperature crack phenomenon of massive concrete box 0# 、1# part caused by hydration-heat thermal stress during construction,based on theory of heat conduction which followed the principle of the conservation of energy,using the module of program MidasFEA,we analyze the hydration heat temperature field and thermal stress field of the two times-casting box girder when 3m-thick web plate effected by water pipe cooling in winter.The calculation result indicates that the early thermal stress in the location of edges-and-corners and the interface of the up-and-lower of the web plate belong to the first-time casting concrete can’t be neglected.According to the conclusion of the research,some reasonable methods for controlling of the hydration temperature effects are presented,the simulate projects can refer to it.
