End-to-end performance measurement model on DiffServ domain in IPv6 network

An end-to-end performance measurement model on DiffServ domain in IPv6 network is presented. The model makes full use of IPv6 header structure to construct probing packets and flows. End-to-end one-way delays and bandwidth of flows are measured to estimate the performance of DiffServ domain for different classes of service requirements on the whole. The simulation shows the model can estimate end-to-end performance on the whole, and the result is more accurate especially for application flows of thicker traffic, by contrast with the flows with more burst traffic.
