Metode for demodulating high speed downlink packet data in communication system using high speed downlink packet access scheme

PURPOSE: A method for demodulating high-speed downlink packet data is provided to reduce power consumption of a terminal by preventing previously unnecessary demodulation without using an additional hardware or an additional software. CONSTITUTION: A method for demodulating high-speed downlink packet data includes a production process and a demodulation prevention process. The production process is performed to produce a predetermined point prior to a predetermined time interval from a starting point of a transmission gap. The demodulation prevention process is performed to process high-speed shared control channel signals received from the produced point without demodulating the high-speed shared control channel signals.
