Characteristic of Actual Output based Generator Modeling

Frequency in receiving terminal grid is very likely to drop evidently, for the large deficiency of active power when UHVDC inverter station is blocked. The safety and stability may be destroyed, because the actual ability of generators in frequency control is over estimated, and the power feature of existing models is a little optimistic. Firstly, the actual frequency characteristics of real units are analyzed using measured data under large disturbance. Then, a non-mechanical input-output model taking account both simulation accuracy and application complexity is proposed, and key parameters are fitted. Finally, the model is verified and analyzed comparatively in real case.
