Indirect Model Reference Adaptive Control on the Permanent-magnet Synchronous-motor Speed Servo System

In this paper, a permanent-magnet synchronous-motor(PMSM) control system model is established in Matlab/Simulink. A indirect model reference adaptive control(IMRAC) algorithm is applied to the speed control of an inverter driven permanent magnet brushless DC motor. The parameter estimation is based on the recursive least square estimates. The simulation results show the good adaptive performance and free from load disturbance. And the results also show that the IMRAC is superior to the PI controller.
