Detection of Cases and a Cause of Lead Exposure in Korean Steel Company

산업장에서는 4만 여종의 화학물질과 200만 여종의 혼 합물질이 사용되고 있으나 이들 대부분이 인체 영향을 충 분히 검증하지 않은 상태에서 실용화되고 있다. 따라서 산업현장의 많은 노동자들이 유기용제를 비롯한 중금속, 농약 및 유해가스 등에 급성 및 만성적으로 노출될 가능 성이 있다. 이중에 납은 비철금속으로서 산업장에서 주 로 차량용 축전지 제조, 전선 피막, 방청 도료의 원료 등 으로 흔히 사용되고 있다. 전 세계적으로는 자동차용 축 전지에 가장 많이 쓰이고 있으며 특히 미국에서는 납사용 의 2/3가 축전지로 쓰인다. 이렇게 다양한 사업장에서 이용되는 납 중에 1/3이상은 재생을 통해 재활용되기도 한다. 납은 흄, 분진 등 여러 형태로 노출되어 납 관련 작업을 하는 동안 중추신경계와 조혈기계, 비뇨기계 등의 건강 문제를 유발한다. 고철 재활용에서의 집단적인 납 고노출 사례
