On classes of matrices containing M-matrices and hermitian positive semidefinite matrices

Abstract Two new classes of matrices are introduced, containing hermitian positive semi-definite matrices and M -matrices. The relation to other well-known classes such as ω and τ-matrices and weakly sign symmetric matrices is examined, and invariance properties are shown.
