Error propagation on power allocation in generalized layered space-time coding communication systems

We address the issue of the impact of error propagation on power allocation for generalized layered space-time (GLST) coding architecture. We put forward a power allocation considering error propagation among different layers to minimize the average symbol error rate (SER) under the transmission power constraint. Numerical results show that the proposed power allocation with error propagation is superior to those power allocations without considering error propagation.
