The Stefan-Maxwell equations for diffusion fluxes of plasma in a magnetic field

In calculating the transport coefficients of multi-component ionized gases in the presence of a magnetic field by the Chapman--Enskog method [9] difficulties arise which are connected with the fact that these coefficients are calculated by solving systems of linear equations of high orders with complex coefficients. Since the thermal conductivity coefficients are expressed in terms of the multi-component diffusion and thermal diffusion coefficients [9], it is an extremely laborious task to calculate them exactly.
