Leukaemic progression in lymphomata.

TRANSFORMATION into acute leukaemia has been observed in all varieties oI" malignant lymphomata. This evolution is particularly common in patients with lymphosarcoma. Rosenberg et al. (1961) reported transformation into leukaemia in 7.6% of a group of 1269 patients with malignant lymphoma. Most common are transformations from lymphosarcoma into acute leukaemia, in contrast to patients with histiosarcoma, where only in a few instances has leukaemia been reported (Lowenbraun et al., 1971).
