Remote Sensing of N2O5 and C10NO2 in the Lower Stratosphere

The stratospheric ozone concentration depends on a combination of radiation, chemistry and dynamics. Central to the chemistry are the nitrogen, chlorine, and hydrogen cycles of catalytic ozone destruction. Verification of the photochemical models that attempt to predict ozone trends requires the simultaneous measurement of ozone, temperature, and the trace species which participate in the ozone destruction.1
