Optical reconstruction from projections via deconvolution

The reconstruction of sectional images of an object from its projections is mainly important in medicine, e. g. in X-ray transaxial tomography. In the passed six years the reconstructions achieved there by digital computers have proved to give usefull new information. Since that time a lot of analog reconstruction methods have been proposed to use possible advantages like less cost or higher spatial resolution. A survey is given in the paper of PLATZER and GLUNDER in these proceedings.
