Container-grown longleaf pine seedling quality

The Longleaf Alliance, in cooperation with the USDA Forest Service, the Georgia Forestry Commission, and the Clemson Extension Service, has installed numerous longleaf pine (Pinus palustris Mill.) seedling quality studies across the Southeastern United States. This paper reviews survival and growth for different classes of container-grown longleaf pine including: target seedlings, floppies, doubles, and sondereggers (hybrids) two to three growing seasons post-outplanting.
